How the Momentum Score works (transparent)
Plain English: We rank streamers by verified momentum, not just size. A streamer moves up when they combine strong ratings quality, trusted voter support, and healthy real-audience trend. This lets smaller streamers with real community energy compete with larger names, while down-weighting suspicious spikes and low-confidence samples.
Trusted voter support
Trusted unique voters + average voter trust + vote efficiency vs audience size
Ratings quality
Effective ratings, weighted average, positive-rate signal, and text participation
Audience trend
7-day viewers vs prior 7-day, stability, and confidence in the sample
Confidence guards
Small, noisy, or volatile samples are automatically down-weighted
Mathy / nerdy version (bounded and explainable):
We compute a core score from normalized parts for
We compute a core score from normalized parts for
quality, trusted_unique_voters, vote_efficiency, and viewer_trend. We also track avg_voter_trust, viewer confidence, and stability so the system favors believable momentum over raw noise. Then we apply guards so tiny samples cannot snipe the top and unstable spikes do not dominate:
core = 0.38·quality + 0.22·vote_abs + 0.22·vote_eff + 0.18·trend
guards = (0.65·ratings_volume + 0.35·vote_abs) · (0.70 + 0.30·stability)
score = 100 · core · guards (clamped 0..100)
Do leaderboard votes actually matter?
Yes. Votes influence ranking in two ways: (1) vote_abs rewards real interest but saturates so big creators don’t auto-win, and (2) vote_eff rewards “activation” (votes relative to audience size) so smaller creators with strong communities can beat larger creators with weaker conversion.

What’s discouraged (and why it doesn’t work well):
- View-botting: the trend signal is confidence-weighted and multiplied by stability, so spiky/volatile viewer patterns get down‑weighted.
- Vote spam / multi-accounting: one vote per leaderboard per voter token, rate limits, trust scoring, and admin tools to exclude/ban suspicious identities.
- Tiny sample sniping: volume guards reduce impact until there’s real activity.

How the Voters Score works (transparent)
Plain English: the voters leaderboard rewards people who keep showing up and adding real value during the current run - not just people who click once. Your current-run score is built from useful actions like ratings, comments, active days, and contributions. Your long-term history still matters a bit through global score and trust, so strong community members do not reset to zero every new run.
Current leaderboard run
Ratings, comments, active days, and contributions during this specific run
Global activity
Lifetime votes, ratings, comments, and contributions across past runs
Trust and reputation
Trust scores reduce the impact of suspicious or low-quality activity
Vote weight
A tiny carry-over boost for strong trusted users, never large enough to dominate by itself
Mathy / nerdy version:
We treat each voter as a weighted participation profile with a
Where
We treat each voter as a weighted participation profile with a
period_score, a global_score, and trust modifiers. Conceptually:
period = a·ratings_run + b·comments_run + c·active_days_run + d·contrib_run
global = e·lifetime_votes + f·lifetime_ratings + g·lifetime_comments + h·lifetime_contrib
final voter score = period + carry(global, trust)
vote_weight = tiny_bonus(global, trust)
Where
carry(global, trust) is intentionally small. Current-run effort matters most, but trusted long-term users keep a modest edge.
Why we show both current and global stats:
Current-run stats explain why someone ranks this week. Global stats explain whether they are a proven returning user or just brand new. Trust scores are there to make spam, fake engagement, and low-quality behavior less valuable over time.
